This ytong new green home Barcelona is the 1st of it kind in Southern Europe.
This means it’s the first single-family house with ytong that has been approved with the Passive House PLUS certification.

DESIGN

This house has been designed to deliver comfort with low energy.
To assure this, we’ve used the Passive House simulator.
This is the best existing simulator till date to calculate the energy consuming values of a future green home.
This house fully complies with all Spanish environmental standards.
AND we’ve gone the extra mile to deliver the lowest energy demands with no fossil fuel energy when using the house.
The result is a house that delivers comfort with a minimal energy bill while minimizing the carbon footprint during its use.

COMFORT
This house guarantees comfort values not regulated by Spanish regulations.
What does comfort values mean?

TEMPERATURE
This green home assures inside temperatures between 20-25º during
80% of the year with low energy consumption.
This means you use the energy of a hair dryer to run the full house during 292 days of the year.
The rest of the days, you’ll be using more energy to have cozy temperatures.

OXYGEN
This green home renovates air three times per hour.
This guarantees oxygen levels inside your home that are similar to those in a forest (without even opening the windows).
Plus, you skip the pollution and noise from outside.

SOLAR ENERGY

This house is energy self-sufficient all year round when there’s sun.
This means there are enough solar panels to cover the comfort demand in a sunny day (also in winter).
We’ve confirmed that even in Spring (June 2022), the batteries AND the electric car are charged by noon on a sunny day.

WATER

The house was designed with sufficient roof to harvest rain water.
Despite the clients didn’t cover this during construction, the rain water can easily be collected under the floating slab.
Despite not recommended for water private usage; the clients decided to have a swimming pool.
